About the Programme
The Council of Europe Traineeship Programme Council of Europe enables young graduates to contribute to projects that support democracy, human rights, and the rule of law across Europe. Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification
- Applicants must have completed at least three years of university study.
- Candidates must hold a degree corresponding to the first cycle of the Bologna Process framework.
- Applicants to the European Court of Human Rights traineeships must have completed the first year of a Master’s degree.
- Applicants must possess good knowledge of either English or French.
Experience & Other Conditions
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Candidates must be citizens of a member state of the Council of Europe.
- Applicants must not have previously completed a Council of Europe traineeship, study visit, or employment assignment with the organisation.
- Candidates must not be the parent, child, stepchild, or grandchild of a current Council of Europe staff member.
