About the Program

The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute was established in 2005 under the initiative of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol as a multidisciplinary postgraduate academic institute dedicated to advanced research in biological and chemical sciences. The institute currently offers master’s degree programmes in Applied Biological Sciences, with specialisations available in Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology, and Chemical Sciences, positioning CGI as a specialised hub for scientific research training in Southeast Asia.

Furthermore, the scholarship structures its support to begin with a six-week refresher course before transitioning scholars into the full two-year master’s programme, ensuring all admitted students enter their formal coursework with a consistent academic foundation. Consequently, scholars benefit from close mentorship within a research-intensive environment, with the institute conducting annual reviews of each scholar’s academic progress throughout the programme duration.
