Project Title:
Illuminating Dark Matter Using Global 21-cm Absorption Signal During the Dark Ages and Cosmic Dawn
This project explores the earliest phases of the universe, focusing on the 21-cm hydrogen absorption signature—an essential observational pathway to understand dark matter behavior and early cosmic evolution. The selected JRF will work on theoretical modeling, data interpretation, and analysis techniques relevant to astrophysical signal detection.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- M.Sc. in Physics from a recognized institution.
- A valid NET or GATE qualification is mandatory for consideration as a Junior Research Fellow.
- Candidates without NET/GATE may be considered for the role of Project Associate, with modified remuneration.
- A minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA is required at the postgraduate level.
- Relaxations in eligibility are applicable for SC/ST and PH candidates according to Government of India norms.
Skills Beneficial for Selection
While not mandatory, experience in the following areas will strengthen the application:
- Cosmology and astrophysics fundamentals
